Mug Rugs (Quilting)

The goal of this workshop is to make and complete a mug rug.
The skills covered include fabric selection and preparation, using a rotary cutter and measuring, and basic sewing machine skills. We will learn a variety of beginning quilting patches as well as how to anchor, and bind your piece.
Supplies Needed:
- Variety of fabrics. This is a great project to use scrap fabric. You will need enough to make front and back of an approximate 8″ x 5″ plus a some extra. Approx. a total of 1/4 yard.
- Sewing machine (size 10-12 needles)
- Rotary cutter (45 mm is standard)
- Rotary ruler and mat
- Basic sewing supplies- small scissors, fine straight pins, seam ripper, all purpose thread and a pencil.
