Drop Spinning (Ages 8-12)

This class will focus on learning how to spin your own wool into yarn! You will make your own drop spindle from a dowel rod and CDs and spend the rest of the week learning how to spin and set single and multiple plied yarn. Drop spinning is part of the early history of our country and still persists in various parts of the world. It is a beautiful tradition and makes even more beautiful yarn for crafts than almost any yarn you can buy in the store or online.
