DescriptionThe piece is of cast iron fragments approximately 1 x 1 1/2" square, fused together through welding process (probably acetylene torch) in a form that is suggestive of a chicken. It stands on several slender metal legs. The portion above the legs is more thickly formed than the upper portions, and the upper portions not only thin out but narrow up toward the top of the head. The piece appears to be of unpainted cast iron parts. Cast iron weld.
