There is a dirt road running diagonally across the foreground. The color is very pastel, with almost all tints having been used in the execution. The painting is signed "Georges La Chance" in the lower left corner in dark blue. The painting is framed in a large simple molding painted a light gray with a red undercoat, and has a white "mat" on the interior edge. A brass plaque on the center bottom reads, "Silvery Morn By Georges La Chance Anderson Civic Art Association". A small identification tag, a 1956 Hoosier Salon Entry tag, and a biographical data sheet were removed from the verso of the painting and are contained in the accession file. On the verso of the frame is a previous AFAC accession number in blue and "II-3" also appears.
