Hudson River
Painting
A water scene of a harbor. Three ships (steamers) are to the right of the composition. Steam is coming from these ships as well as one ship docked on the long breakwater coming from the left of the work. The water is colled blue upon greys. The landforms are greys in the foreground and blue-grey in the background. Two birds are seen in the upper sky. Accents of cadmium red in the ships and breakwater.
