Mexican Market
Print
The central image of an open marketplace where a woman (seated on the right) is offering some sort of wares to a male shopper on the left. Wares appear to be vegetables, stored in a tall basket that is standing on the floor at the woman's feet. In the left foreground, sitting on the carpet, is a woman in a dress, wearing a scarf over her head and sitting with her back to the viewer. In front of her are two standing figures, a man on the right and a woman on the left. Beyond these foreground figures, there appear to be a number of make-shift tents erected. In the far distance, more shoppers can be seen.
