The entire upper third of the picture surface taken up by a black cloud. The middle third of the picture surface appears as a white, clear sky. The lower portion of the picture surface is the earth. As about center is a small, lap-sided house with a modest porch in front. Extended diagonally away from the porch and toward the viewer is a fence. beside the farmhouse is another house of about the same size and design. Beside this is another house, this appears to be a chicken coop or implement shed. In the foreground is a telephone pole that leans hard to the right. Near the right center of the image is a small barn and grain silo.
