Untitled (Summer Landscape with Sheep and Herder)
Painting
The central image of a man with his back to the viewer, dressed in brown and carrying a sachel of some sort which has a strap that wraps around his right shoulder, and in his right hand he is carrying a walking stick. In front of the man is a herd of sheep that he is guiding. The surrounding landscape consists of ten distinguishable tree trucks with their accompanying canopies, a dirt road with a grassy embankment on both sides, and in the illusionary distance, the land becomes softly rolling and fades into a purplish-blue blur. "H. Betts" is printed in the lower right corner.
