Untitled (1930s Anderson Cityscape)
Painting
Image of viaduct that once stood to the south of the Eisenhower Bridge on West Eighth Street in Anderson. The foreground consists of a street scene with a person walking uphill on the left; next to the person is a tall utility pole that extends to the top of the picture plane. To the right of the person and in the street is a black automobile from the 1920s. It
appears to be heading west. Another figure walks immediately beneath the viaduct to the right, and in the distant background is another 1920s automobile heading downhill or southeast. On the sidewalk in front of the second automobile is a pedestrian. In the distance above the viaduct is a skyline, which appears dingy and dirty.
