Blue Engraving (1972)
Print
Repeating bracket lines that enter on the right side and angle down at a corner to the bottom. There is a small dip at each corner. The lines are thin and black. The entire image has a slight blue tint. Print 14/35. The image consists of a geometric abstract drawing on a light blue color field. The first line in the series begins LL about 1" from the left edge of the picture plane and continues in fairly straight progression to a point about 1.5" from the top of the left vertical picture place; her line makes a right arc, then continues in a straight progression across the top horizontal picture plane, terminating at the right edge of the right vertical plane. The next line follows the same pattern as this line but begins one inch further along the horizontal picture plane at the bottom of the picture. The next follows suit, and so on. There are 21 such lines in all. The piece is signed in LR "Kim Lim 1972". LL is printed in pencil "Engraving 14/35". Paper manufacturer's watermark is laid LL "T.H. Saunders England". On the back of the sheet written in pencil in "Kim Lim" and then "Blue Engraving".
