Oil on academy board depicting a floral still life. Central is a white vase with a leaf pattern in blue and violet which contains a number of daffodils and long leaves. To the right is a green pitcher. Both vessels rest on the ground and the background is a textured blue and green color with shadows on the right side. The painting is framed in a wooden frame with a linted pattern painted green-grey. The painting is signed in the lower left corner in red paint "Edgar Forkner". On the verso are two tags, one is the academy board manufacturere;s label from F. Weber Co. located in the upper right corner. The other is a small label on the bottom left corner which reads "13-28/ $125.00" in pencil. A brass plaque reading "DAFFODILS; EDGAR FORKNER; ANDERSON CIVIC ART ASSOCIATION" was taped to the verso and is now located in the accession file.
