Untitled
Painting
In this abstracted work, linear and calligraphic lines in orange and black oil pastel make up the elusive background. The head of a figure is painted in the center of the work. The figure is composed of black and white paint that is applied in a thick manner in certain areas. For example, the figure's eyes and nose have a thicker application of paint. Above and to the left of the figure is a diagonal line in white paint. The second line of white paint stretches along the right side of the picture plane. Kingerlee's signature of a man in a boat is drawn in pencil in the lower right corner.
