DESCRIPTION:This season’s Lunafest\, sponsored by Soroptimist International Anderson Chapter and the Luna\, nutritional bars for women\, returns to The Anderson Center for the Arts. Nine selected short films will compel discussion\, make you laugh\, tug at your heart strings\, and motivate you to make a difference in your community.  Incredibly diverse in style and content\, these films are united by a common thread of storytelling by\, for\, and about women. Lunafest events are nationwide and benefit breast cancer research with each location’s funds going to support local charities.  For a listing of this year’s films go to: www.lunafest.org/the-films \nDoors open at 1 p.m. There will be light refreshments and a silent auction. \nFilms begin at 2 p.m.

DESCRIPTION:This annual Christmas event\, hosted by Rick Vale at the piano and vocals\, features different local musical guests each year. The year’s guests are David & Mary Beth Coolidge. David is the former Broadway actor who now runs the Music Theatre program at Anderson University and his wife Mary Beth also teaches there. The evening is reminiscent of the old television Christmas specials\, containing songs old and new\, comic and sacred\, along with an old-fashioned Christmas sing-a-long.

DESCRIPTION:Based in Anderson\, the Campbell Jazz Continuum is rooted by the talented musicians of the Campbell family\, all of whom play various instruments and sing. Featured at the Anderson Symphony Orchestra “after party\,” following the “Time for Three” concert in the 2015-16 Season\, they were such a hit that the symphony artists present and the guest artists jammed with them! DESCRIPTION:The Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra\, small band\, will perform with Rick Vale and Julie Powers\, soloists. A buffet dinner\, catered by m&n Catering\, will be served\, beginning at 6:30 pm\, followed by the concert. The IJO\, comprised of professional musicians from all over Indiana\, is one of the only professional “big bands” in the midwest\, featuring swing songs and songs from the “American Songbook.”
