Workshops

Girl Scout Badge Workshops - Architecture Down To Scale - Juniors

Saturday October 22 OR Saturday November 5 at 9:30 am
$15.00 each

Girl Scout Juniors will earn their Architecture badge by learning about architecture in our historic 1904 Carnegie library building and see how we readapted an old library building into a contemporary art center. Take a neighborhood walking tour (weather permitting), participate in a blueprint scavenger hunt and design a room. Work with an architectural professional on activities, learning about architectural styles, scale and being green. Girls will have fun building their own snack. Badges will be distributed at the end of the session.

Girl Scout Badge Workshops - A Doll To Treasure: Make Your Own Doll - Juniors

Saturday, October 15 OR Saturday, October 22 at 2:30 pm
$13.00 each

Girl Scout Juniors will explore their heritage - who were their ancestors, how did they look, etc. Based on this information they will create a doll that looks the way the past generations of their own family might have looked. Truly a day of discovery and a doll to treasure. This program also includes a sampling of ethnic inspired snacks the girls will help make.
